Sport-Specific Rules
Table Tennis Rules (1 Court, 2 Players per Table)
1. Format
Singles matches. Two tables per court, so two take place at the same time.
2. Mini-Games
First to 7 points, sudden death. If it’s 6–6, the next point wins.
3. Serving
-
Serve must bounce on your side first, then on the opponent’s.
-
If the serve hits the net but goes in, replay the point (let).
-
If the serve hits the net and doesn’t go in, the point is lost.
-
The winner of the point keeps serving.
-
When a point is lost, the serve switches to the other player.
4. Rally Rules
Hit the ball after it bounces on your side, over the net, onto the opponent’s side of the table.
You must hit the ball after it bounces (no volleys) and you can’t hit it after 2 bounces.
5. Scoring
Each rally won = 1 point.
6. Rotation
Each team has 2 players. After the first of the two games reach 7-poins, the other game ends and players need to swap opponents, so each player plays both opponents.
7. Modified Rules
-
If a player can’t serve, they can hit the ball straight over, or choose not to serve.
-
If a player struggles to serve, they get 2 serves to get the rally going.

Pickleball Rules (1 Court, 2 vs 2)

1. Format
Doubles, 2 vs 2 on one court.
2. Serve

The serve must bounce once on the opponent’s side before being returned, that means no volley returns off the serve.
3. Wall Hits
Back/side wall hits allowed only after the ball has bounced (modified for squash court).
Players cannot hit the ball into any wall (side, back, or front) on the full.
4. Kitchen Rule
Players may not volley the ball while standing in the kitchen (non-volley zone).
5. Side Switch
When a team wins a point on their serve, the serving switches to the other side (left-right).
6. Scoring
Every rally won = 1 point, regardless who is serving.

Doubles, 2 vs 2 on one court (half-court play).
2. Dribbling / Movement

After dribbling, you may take 1 step before passing or shooting (2 steps total).
To bring the ball into your half, dribble it to the front wall and “pass it into the wall to yourself”.
3. Fouls
Defenders cannot hit the hands, arms, or body of the player with the ball.
Fouls result in a free throw from the “T” line.
4. Free Throws
Taken from the “T” line for fouls.

-
No faults allowed per serve. Faults include:
Shuttle hits the net and doesn’t go over.
